Easy Pasta Carbonara



There are different theories on how Pasta Carbonara got its name. 

Either it was a popular dish by Italian charcoal workers, or it was originally prepared over hot charcoals. Squid ink was used to make it black.

You need



pasta
eggs
black pepper
some grated ceese.


How to do it



Boil pasta in salted water, drain. Whisk the eggs and ground plenty of pepper on top. Pour the egg mixture onto the hot pasta, then add the grated cheese. 


Vegetarian version done!



Optional addition is to use ham or bacon, and onion and garlic.



Chop and fry in plenty of olive oil -mix


Done! 


All the pasta disappeared so today I did some more.


And because last time I nearly forgot the cheese, and I used Gruyere (probably an illegal act in Italy), 
I made my amends by using proper cheese:





And served it with little more finesse:
