Mother's Day poem

There is no such thing as the perfect mother

because every mother is unique

and so is the child who made the mother.

Motherhood is a journey, some say it's a bumpy ride

during this  journey the child is raising and molding the mother 

in the meantime, the environment and chance circumstances are molding the child.

Travel well, Mother!

there is no end-station.

Try to lead by example,

but don't strive for perfection.

Learn to say "I'm sorry"

and never be afraid to show your weakness

because your child already knows that you are weak

So all you need to do is to show your child it is okay 

to be weak, vulnerable and small

Your job is to  clean up the mess afterwards, 

including making up lies and excuses for teachers and authorities

but also letting the child take hits and hurts.

Mother: Trust that the child is hard-wired for struggle and fight

Mother: Grow too, and eventually let go

Then you and your child can fight side by side.

For a better world.

And a future of peace.

Know this, Mother: Your child will grow up without you

Your child will turn into a unique human being 

-as if by magic-

and without any input from you.

Take this as a relief.

And enjoy the time you have together.

de-cluttering children

The most important single thing in Feng Shui is de-cluttering. 

It is hard work.

You can encourage your kids to de-clutter for you by asking them to pretend being special agents or robots

The rule is that any item in a wrong place is eating precious good energy.

The correct place of an object is called Location Zero (0). When the object is there, you have no energy loss.

Tell your kid(s) to walk around the house saying in a robotic voice: 

"Scanning environment". 

"Scanning environment".

If they see a book lingering on the sofa they must say: 

"Displaced object detected!" 

Then they must pick it up and as they walk to the bookshelf they shall chant:

"Returning object". 

"Returning object".

And as they put the book back where it belongs they say: 

"Object returned to Location Zero".

Repeat.

You can add to the game that the further from Location Zero an object is, the worse the energy loss. 

Rooms (or floors) can be named or numbered in a Sci-Fi way, ask your child for suggestions. 

(Here are some: the Nether, Tadpole hole, Hobbiton, Room of Requirement, The Chamber of Secrets, New Erewhon, Otherland, Abarat, Fangland, Boo'ya Moon, Mejis, Gilead).

When your kids tire of the game, and they will, you can still amuse yourself with it in secret. By doing this you turn de-cluttering into a mindfulness exercise!
