Important note: Do NOT get yourself a Siamese cat -or any cat, or any animal, or kids for that matter - unless you are ready to sacrifice plenty of money, time and energy to take care of them.
Siamese are very people-oriented. They meow a lot, they want attention, games and cuddles. I never leave mine alone in the house for even one night, we always have a cat-sitter. It is not enough to give your cat food and water. Although I have two cats (brothers), plenty of space and they can go outdoors freely, there is still a lot of work. And they live for many years.
I have seen on the http://www.siamesecatspot.com/ that there are many rescue Siamese out there. Hats off for the ones who rescue! It seems people are attracted to these intelligent and beautiful creatures without understanding the commitment. No animal should end up in a rescue shelter because of human ignorance.
