Notes on Meditation

Notes on Meditation

It is not the blissful moments
of warm floating
nor the relaxed being
of near-paralysis
that should be the meditator's target or goal

It is only when things get difficult
that true improvement of the mind happens
only once you gain control over your thoughts
and learn to rest in nothingness
will your mind grow stronger

All those random thoughts entering your mind are like little children
you should be friendly and compassionate with them
but never let them take full control

So discipline your thoughts,
simply accept their presence
and you may find your inner essence
