Thank You, my friend

I was in the black

Drowning. 

Screaming for air and light. 

Hungry for white, bright light -

knowing it wasn't true. 

Because only black contains all colours.

Let me mirror the colours of you, my friend:

You are Ruby Red

for energy and uplifting spirit.

You are Azure Blue

representing the Dragon who controls clouds and rain.

You emit Cyber Laser and Electric Yellow,

to cheer up the world and celebrate human intelligence.

You are Cornflower Blue

enveloping me in empathy.

You are illuminating Emerald Green

for vision and understanding.

Palatinate purple 

divine.

Twilight Lavender for a good night's sleep.

You stopped me from going back to black

I no longer want that white light, 

as seductive as it may be.

When you are here with me

I'm ready for the colours.

You showed me the path.

You said you'd walk alongside.

So let's float, let's bath

and celebrate the day the old me died.

Let us soak, and dig deep

allowing the river to carry us.
